INTRODUCTION TO QUAKERISM


The pursuit of spiritual growth is a personal, life long pilgrimage. Quaker faith and practice is a deeply immersive endeavor, a hands-on, self-guided adventure requiring both discipline and humility – within our community we are not only worshipers but also ministers, administrators, educators, custodians, cooks, and bottle washers. Here at POC we are committed to assisting those seeking a greater understanding of the Quaker faith and practice by providing resources for inspiration and guidance. We have an ongoing Introduction to Quakerism for Families study group which is appropriate for children 8-15 and their parents which meets the second Sunday of the month at 10:00 AM at the Flushing Meeting House. We can also guide adult seekers towards resources that can structure their inquiries and studies.
